Crabby, Stabby Girl

I like this weather. Really, I do. Some rain, a little snow, a gray cloudy day? Those are all reasons for me to stay inside and cozy up on the couch with my laptop. (Of course, I do it on sunny days, too.) Today? It sucked. I was in a crabby, stabby mood all day. You know what I mean? That feeling that if someone just looks at you wrong, you are going to poke their eyes out. That was me today.

It might have been because I didn’t sleep well last night. I think I was still awake at 2-ish. I don’t know what my problem was, I just couldn’t settle down. Nothing big, just not tired. It may have been that the minute I stumbled out of bed, Jason snapped at me. I was heading to the bathroom and he was too. I though he was going for a shower, so I asked if he could let me go first. He yelled, “Yeah, I’ve only been waiting 45 minutes to get in here to brush my teeth!” From that moment on, I was sure he hated me. (Aren’t I dumb, the things I do to myself?) Anyway, when you get stabbed right away in the morning, you tend to be stabby yourself all day.

Then I didn’t get my nap. And I was overtired already. The weather sucked. (I usually like this weather. Oh. I said that?) I didn’t have time to get to the gym. Yada yada yada.

However, tonight I got a new yoga mat and Emily got the new Taylor Swift CD, Fearless, which I got to put on my iPod, too. I’m going to go to bed early and hope that I wake up with a smiley disposition tomorrow. Regardless of anyone else. Or the weather.

Lack of sleep will do that to a person. Hubby, Mickey (the bird) and I are all trying to adjust back to sleeping nights instead of days now that Hubby isn’t working. Mickey still thinks that he has to sing at 3:30 in the morning but that could be because one of is already up by that time. Hope you have gotten a good nights sleep by the time you read this.

Wander–I would have had bird stew if I heard it singing at 3:30 in the morning. (I sound mean, but I’ve never had dog soup and I have had plenty keep me up all hours of the night.)

  8. Shelli says:

    Lynda–Thankfully, I did not.

    Hey! How are you?

  9. Shelli says:

Faiqa–I can relate to that. I should have been asleep at 7:30.
