Halloween is a week from today. I still don’t have any idea what I am going to be. I need you to help me with this if you can. Here is the criteria:
- It has to be G-rated. I work in pediatrics and it will not go over well if I dress up as a French maid or anything else that is slutty. I’ll save that for the bedroom.
- It has to appeal to children.
- It cannot be scary. I work in pediatrics and it will not go over well if I am scaring the little children before I even touch them.
- It has to be either easy to make at home or cheap to purchase.
I think that’s about it. Any ideas?

how about a clown?

I saw a whoopee cushion costume at Walmart. I still wish I bought it.
I know. How about a nurse? (Bad joke)
There are some costumes that can be tame (aka not slutty) that you might want to try. Witch, devil, black cat…
how about a M&M – we have that costume at work – also have a Batman costume, witch, angel, and a few others I can’t remember this time of the morning…lol but will have to let me know ASAP…am going on vacation for two weeks starting at 4pm Saturday….Mom (H)
Hannah Montana?
I can’t even figure out what I’m going to be if it can’t be skanky. *sigh*

On good morning america today..they showed cheap and easy costumes. They had a little girl with a pig nose and ears and a blanket wrapped around her. Pig in a Blanket!
It was really cute. and easy.
I went as a rabbit once.. with the ears on a head band, a white sweat suit and a fluffy tail… it was comfy and easy.

Okay, so I know it’s not very “original” BUT!
I do think going as a GYPSY would be a LOT of fun, both boys and girls would like the different parts of your costume, it’s work-appropriate (depending on how you go with it, obviously), it’s versatile, and you can get very creative with it. It’s also affordable AND you can wear comfortable shoes with it!!! LoL
With your beautiful green eyes, curly hair, and infectious laugh… you could totally pull it off.
Good luck and have fun!

anything Disney is good
you could be a
cat-get ears, wear black, get a tail, put dots on your face
I have a queen costume you can borrow_ I wore it last year.
scrarecrow=jeans, red plaid shirt(borrow one of Jason’s) straw hat, freckles on your face, put cornstalks in your arm cuffs and such until it gets too itchy
cowgirl0same thing, just wear a cowboy hat and cowboy boots
Hannah MOntana-kids love her-borrow some of Emily’s clothes, get a straight hair wig, smile all day long, and act like your cool
Pochantas-wear a brown burlap dress, puts pants underneath, wear a wig, or not, put a feather in your hair
I always thought it would be cool to be a smore, it would be cheap too
put a white sheet over yourself, cut holes out for eyes, put a square piece of cardboard on top of your head, put another piece on your feet, so that when your feet come together it looks like a full graham cracker. Somehow put chocolate syrup all over strategically-you could use some fuzzy brown fabric, yellowish, brown like it is toasted. Pass out smore breakfast bars as treats.
Just some ideas

Wear a bathrobe, jammies, and fluffy slippers. No makeup. Don’t comb your hair.
What are you?
The answers: 1. Ready for bed or 2. Tired.

I was going to say Raggedy Ann – but someone else beat me to it…
I forgot this costume, i actually won one year for wearing it.
Be a ROAD
Wear all black, meaning black pants, black shirt
Put stripes down your shirt, put one white stripe through your hair.
Put Sam’s old matchbox going cars going up the shirt one way, and down the other way. The kids love it, and it is really cheap.
How about a bobby soxer? You know, poodle skirt, hair in a pony tail, scarf at the neck? you can wear a plain white t-shirt and a cardigan that matches the skirt color. just get a black a-line skirt at walmart, go to the craft section, find the pink poodle, hot glue it to the skirt and viola! instant, non-scary outfit!
