Oh Wise iPod, Tell Me My Future

I stole this one from Metalmom. Funny. She gave me 2 posts this week! Thanks, MM.

Telephone Road by Rodney Crowell (Nope, that wasn’t it. It was Unchained Melody by The Righteous Brothers.)

  • What do I want as a career?
Excitable Boy by Tracy Lawrence (I don’t even know what that means. Nor do I know this song. Who has been putting music on my iPod when I wasn’t looking?)

  • My favorite saying?
Here In My Heart by Martina McBride (Yes, I say that all the time. Well, I will from now on.)

  • Favorite place?
Go Rest High On That Mountain by Vince Gill (That title, in case you don’t know that song, is a euphemism for Heaven. Who knew?)

    LOL.

    What’s my porn star name?

Come And Get Your Love by Redbone (I shit you not. That is what came up. ROFLMAO)

    Hahaha… how fitting.

I wonder if Tim McGraw knows he’s going to kill you? Weird… lol..

    Hilarious. :-)

  2. Mr. Fabulous says:

The coolness of Rodney Crowell is completely negated by the presence of journey.

  3. Judy says:

    That was so cute!
Hope life is treating you GOOD!
    hugs, Judy

  4. one of the funniest posts I’ve read…. too cool.

  5. Miss Britt says:

I know “That Summer”… you little trollop!

  6. Finn says:

My iPod kinda blew this meme for me too. Which is weird because it usually knows exactly what I need…

Think they all might be revolting? Or that they just found this meme stupid?

  7. Peggy says:

It is a very scary prospect to think that if I tried to do this meme I would have to use my son’s iPod…I’d likely get answers in German (he’s into Rammstein lately).
Of course, I’d also have to have a blog to post the answers on…
    maybe it’s just as well…

  8. I love reading what other people have on their IPODS. IT is funny to see what randomly comes up too.

  9. metalmom says:

    LMAO @ Peggy

I did my meme before I loaded my Rammstein! My answers would be VERY different.

Shelli I loved the “Life is a Lemon” answer! Too funny!!!

  10. Lynda says:

Where would I go on a first date?
You Will Be Mine by Faith Hill (I didn’t know that was a place.)

Maybe the answer isn’t a place so much as an action. You know, like when someone asks, “Did you get to first base?”

  11. Heather says:

This was too funny. Almost makes me wish I had an IPod so I could do this. Sadly I am still very much into the old CD’s. Hell, I am so retro I would still buy LP’s if I could get them.

  12. Mel says:

I likes! I may steal this one :)

  13. Tug says:

Someone just told me about “My Song”…I need to listen to it.

LOVE Josh Grobin’s version of ‘Little Drummer Boy’…my fave!

    I really need an iPod.

  14. A.B. says:

Brandi Carlisle makes me happy. I’m glad to see someone else appreciates her too. :)

  15. Shelli says:

Jill–Maybe the iPod knows more than I give it credit for? Some of them were pretty funny.

  16. Shelli says:

Fab–I graduated in 1985. Would you think that there would be no Journey on my iPod? I have been to 3 Journey concerts (two with Steve Perry, in the 80s and one without about 5 years ago). That’s as many concerts that I have been to of Garth’s and he is my absolute, all-time favorite. I would not, however, call myself a Journey fan. It’s just nostalgia.

  17. Shelli says:

    Judy–Thanks. Thanks for dropping by.

  18. Shelli says:

Pup–It was pretty fun. And funny, too.

  19. Shelli says:

Britt–I know. Can you believe it?

  20. Shelli says:

Finn–I don’t know. Do you think they communicate with each other?

  21. Shelli says:

Peggy–I’ll make you a deal. You do the meme and I will post them on my blog. Or let you post them on my blog. I think you should do it.

  22. Shelli says:

Muttprincess–I love seeing what other people have, too. Maybe someday we should just post our playlists. Or put them up on a separate page so people can look at them if they want to.

  23. Shelli says:

MM–As soon as I saw Peggy’s comment, I knew you two would find a kindredship. (I think that I just made that up.) I thought that Lemon answer was hilarious, too.

  24. Shelli says:

Lynda–That is an awesome way to look at it. I hadn’t thought of it like that.

  25. Shelli says:

Heather–I’m sure you can get them somewhere. You have to have a turntable to play them on is the problem. Then if anything happens to the needle, you are probably screwed. Tim McGraw has a song about nostalgia, called Back When, where he says, “I love my records, black, shiny vinyl, clicks and pops, and white noise, man they sounded fine”. Isn’t that the truth?

  26. Shelli says:

Mel–Steal away. I will check it out.

  27. Shelli says:

Tug–I love Brandi Carlile. She has an earthy voice. At times it’s almost like a tamer version of Janis Joplin.

  28. Shelli says:

A.B.–Isn’t she awesome? My husband introduced her to me.
