It’s not so bad. I’m doing okay. I did a lot of shopping today. And there’s wrapping and more shopping and more wrapping. There are homemade gifts that I have Jason’s going to make and I will have to deliver to the 3 neighbors that we really like and do a lot of stuff with. (Jason makes some kick ass kettle korn, and we are going to package it in some Tupperware type containers.)
After all the shopping I did, I was exhausted. I wanted to do nothing else besides veg out in front of the TV when we were done with the shopping. Usually this is when I like to be on Mercury. :-<
Recently, I made a promise to my family that, before Christmas next year, I will finally finish the cross stitched Christmas stockings that I started back when Emily was in 3rd grade. She's in 10th now. Yeah. I have hers, mine and Jason's done. So, I am working on Ashley's while I am watching TV. Idle hands are the devils play, you know. I can never just sit and watch TV. I have to be doing something.
It’s all good. I’ll be okay.

How long does it take to make a stocking?
I’ve got a pair of slippers to finish–black silk/merino/alpaca with lime green eyelash. They’re already looking cool but I’ll get a pic up before I wrap them.
Glad you’re surviving, and that your needlepoint is thriving! I’m pretty sure most of the Internet is closed for Christmas, anyway, so you aren’t missing much.
Oh, dear Shelli – I’m glad I’m not alone in this.
I started a cross-stitch stocking for #1 Son while I was pregnant with him–having plenty of time before his first Christmas as he was due in April.
I was about 1/2 way done when I somehow got ‘off’ by one row and didn’t discover it until several rows later. Not easy to fix as the picture is baby Jesus in the manger with the animals all around.
It is still unfinished. This Christmas he is 19 (yes, years, not months)…
I suppose I could reallocate it to his first kid (someday) since I haven’t done the name part yet…Le Sigh….
To make it worse, I bought the kit for #2 Son’s stocking when I was pregnant with him. It has never even been started. He has been 18 for 2 weeks as of today…
