There are so many things that I hate about driving. For one thing, I am completely impatient. I don’t have time for sitting in traffic. Well, I have time for it, but I just hate it. I also really hate it when I am sitting in traffic, being polite and courteous and then some asshole comes whipping around on the shoulder passing everyone and then cuts in way up ahead of all the other polite courteous people like me who have been waiting their turn. That’s just a couple things that I hate about traffic. There’s also the construction and weather related problems and and and…
I really hate driving by myself. If I am home by myself and I need something that would require me actually driving somewhere by myself, I try to come up with all kinds of excuses why I don’t need to or reasons why I shouldn’t go. I think that the reason why I don’t like to drive by myself is because I am terrified that I will be in a car accident and I will die alone. I am sure that is the way that I am going to go. In a car accident. That’s why I hate driving.
So the other day, I had a brilliant idea. Teleportation! I know. It’s great, don’t you think? If I could just teleport to work every day, that would be awesome. Do you think they have any accidents in teleportation? I mean, what’s the worse that could happen? My parts could get all jumbled up? Maybe that would be a better look for me. I don’t think that you die in teleportation because it’s too fast. It’s instantaneous. That’s the other cool thing about it. It takes no time. Think about all the time you would have if you didn’t have to drive anywhere. You could just blink and you would be wherever you wanted to go. No more wasting time in traffic. On a day that there is no traffic, it takes me 15 minutes to get to work by car, but in rush hour, it takes me about 30-45 minutes. That’s 1-1 1/2 hours that I would get back every single day that I work by teleporting instead.
If I could only figure out what the hell that diagram means, I would be set. Does anyone know how to teleport? Could you teach me please? I would be ever so grateful.

As long as I am confidant I know where I am going I love being alone in a car. Being trapped in traffic or having to deal with delays due to constructions do not big me, it is just more me time, So I will pass on the teleportation!
I want to teleport too. That way I don’t have to get up as early in the morning. And I can go to Europe any time I want!
The aliens will be coming for you soon.
I always thought the perfect commuting solution would be ‘Jetson’s-style’ personal jetpacks.
Of course, as I’m typing this, I realize that I get really queasy looking down the escalator from the 2nd floor of a dept. store. This may not be a good solution for me after all.
Of course, if everyone else were doing it, I could have the roadways to myself! Yeah – that’s the ticket!!
I have turned riding in the car to special “me time” I either enjoy the silence–which is golden, doncha know?–or I rock out to some music… Depends on my mood. I do hate other drivers though! HATE THEM!
If I learn anything about teleportation I will forward it to you!!!
:d
aargh, the spam word ate my post. I forget what I said. something about taking the train. oh, and getting shot out of a cannon.
I think you need to find yourself a geek – I don’t understand the whole teleportation thing…
Blue–I used to feel like that, too. I would revel in the just me minutes. Now, I just want to get home.
Finn–That would be cool to be able to go wherever you want whenever you want! I hadn’t thought of that aspect of teleportation.
Fab–Why?
Peggy–Me, too. I have to close my eyes in glass elevators, too. I couldn’t do the jet pack thing. It’d be just you and me on the road.
muttprincess–It’s mostly the other drivers that I hate. I do enjoy my music time…
Uisce–What?! You don’t know how to teleport? I thought you were going to be my key to teleportation.
Fantastagirl–That’s what I need, a geek! Know where I can find one? lol
