Tomorrow Jason and I are going out of town to celebrate our 17th wedding anniversary. Tonight I am babysitting the child of the doctor that I work for. I am taking Isabelle, so it should be fun for both of us. The child is 1-1/2. It will be late before I get back, though, so I probably won’t have time to reply to comments.
So…
I have decided that now would be a good time for me to take a little break. A break from blogging. A blogcation, if you will. I am not going to post tomorrow, Saturday or Sunday. My post for Monday is already done and will post on Monday, but I won’t be replying to comments from that post either. I intend to return to normal blogging on Tuesday. I probably will have lots of pictures from my weekend up north with Jason.
I just want you to know that everything is good here. My marriage? Better than ever. My family is good, too. My depression seems to be on a good track right now (well, except that the bleeping pharmacy won’t give me my meds because my doctor hasn’t okayed the refill and then it turns out that the doctor they are trying to contact isn’t even a doctor that I have ever heard of and still they won’t give me any until they get a hold of my doctor *sigh* but I digress). I am really looking forward to this weekend with Jason. It’s been about 6 months since we have been away or alone together for any length of time.
I know that some of you read Pointless Drivel. Let me assure you that, even though he is going to be gone Friday thru Tuesday, there is no truth to the rumor that we are the same person. Nor is there any truth to the rumor that we are planning to over throw the government during those five days. The only truth is that he is going to Gomorrah Huntsville for a concert weekend (please pray for him) and I am going to Duluth with my husband for the weekend. Oh, and it may be the truth that we both needed a break from blogging. But the timing is purely coincidental.
I have to tell you that thanks to those of you who sponsored Emily on her walk, which will take place this Saturday, John’s Crew overshot their goal of $3000 by $1750 as of this posting. I think that is amazing for the first year that we are taking part in this cause. I am continually amazed at the humanity not just of bloggers and the blogging community, but of people in general. In one case, a woman who is a friend of my MIL, found out that there was a group walking to honor John and she asked if she could walk as a part of the team because her daughter-in-law has MS. Another moving thing was that someone donated $200 to my niece, John’s daughter, which immediately allowed her to reach her fund raising goal. There are a lot of good people in this world. It is something we all should remember when we get to thinking that there is only evil. Anyway, thank you all again. I really appreciate it.
I hope everyone has a good weekend and I will see you all next week.

You and I have never been photographed together.
Coincidence?
I will leave that to history to decide.
Happy Anniversary! Have a wonderful weekend…
17 years is something to celebrate – I hope you have a great blogcation!

Congrats on making it 17 years. We are at year 12. We both have beat the national average I’m sure by many, many years.
A break from blogging could be a very good thing. I found that whenever I took a little break, I’d come back and blog my heart out. Good luck with yours.
Seems like a great love story there…heh! Btw, how is the blogging thing after all. Here, from “outside” I could thought you really enjoy blogging, and actually this is your “kinda” break. =:)
A concert weekend, now that sounds like a great concept
Can’t remember the last time I went to one though
