I had several posts written for yesterday. I tabled them all. I needed to just sit back and take a few deep breaths. Actually, I need to take some more time off, but I am not ready to take a longer break just yet. I have something really important to talk about first.

Some of you may remember when I blogged about my BIL who was diagnosed with ALS in January. This has been particularly hard for Emily because she is best friends with my BIL’s daughter. I do have a couple links in my sidebar for ALS organizations, but today I want to ask you for a more personal consideration. I don’t think that I have ever done this before.

September 29th some of our family and friends are going to be doing a Walk To D’feet ALS. Jason and I are going to be out of town, but Emily has decided that she would like to participate. The team page can be found here. There is a picture of Jason’s sister and her husband the one that has ALS. If you want to sponsor Emily, you can do so at her fund raising page. Her goal is to try to get $200. She is a pretty steadfast girl. I have no doubt that she will achieve her goal. If you can help her to that end, I would be extremely grateful. If you choose to leave your name, it will show up in the honor roll on the side of the page. You can even put a message along with your donation and Emily will get your message.

I am off to the hospital today with my Mom. Thank you for the thoughts and prayers that you have already offered.

Everything went well. Everything looks good in there, the vascular surgeon said. We were there from about 7:30 until about 1:00. She bought me lunch on the way home (drive thru) and she was resting in bed when I left her at her house.
