I got such an amazing response to my post yesterday. It’s going to take me months to interview everyone. I want to ask appropriate questions, so I need to do my research and get it all together. I am excited about this.
I have also had good response to my Minnesota blogroll idea. Yay! You guys have made me very happy. I have to get to work designing a cool button now.
My Mom also left a really cool comment yesterday in response to my post that I wrote about her the other day. This is what she said:
Shelli: Thank you so much for the wonderful tribute…make me cry. And let me tell you that I am proud of you no matter what you do. You had a brilliant mind as a child and still do and if you want to go to school, do so. As you know, I was your age when I decided to give up flipping and flinging hair and put some of my energy into expanding my mind. What a trip that was going to school, I enjoyed each and every second of it and felt like a human sponge soaking up all that information out there in the world. Just think, I even learned how to use a computer!!! :)) No matter what you do in the future must be what you want and like all your commenters said, what will make you the most happiest in life. Toss all those dang insecurities away to the wind and forge on my daughter….love Mom
Isn’t that cool?

A side note: I was supposed to go out of town this weekend with Jason’s siblings and their spouses for our annual tubing down the River Trip and so today’s post was going to be about that and how I wouldn’t be around for blogging and replying and posting for the weekend. But. It turns out that it is going to be snowing here this weekend, so we are not going to go. Okay, so it isn’t really going to snow, but it is going to be cold and rainy. It’s not fun to tube down the river when it is freezing cold and/or raining. Or so they say. So we will be going next weekend. Maybe. We’ll see.
So, I guess I will be around. And it is going to be rainy and cold, so I will be staying in with my warm laptop.

If I lived in Minnesota, ID be too busy making You drink coffee with me to worry about a blogroll~
Cold? How cold can it get in August?
I thought you nortnerners were supposed to be a hardy lot.
I choose you as a rocking girl blogger!
Come pick up your award later today! :d/
Peace!
I’ve been being punished at work for going on vacation, so I couldn’t read your last post until today. But if you don’t interview me, I will hold my breath until I pass out. Then I’ll get up and do it again.
Freezing cold and raining???? And its triple digits and drought here! I would never make it the north.
Both “His and Her” posts and your Mom’s comment made me cry — so very touching. I like your new ideas for your blog too. Your talent and creativity are amazing!
Hey Shelli-
again, I’ve been an invisible blogger… school…Aaaak!
Anyway– please include my place as a MN blogroll
Blue–That’d be okay.
Fab–We are. It’s just difficult to float down a river of ice.
Judy–On my way! Thank you.
Finn–I will interview you. It’s going to take me awhile to get to them all, but I will.
Mel–We’ve been dealing with our own drought and heat. The rain will be welcome, just not the cold temps. And by cold, I am referring to 60 degrees as opposed to 80.
GTT–Thank you. I appreciate your praise.
DoctorMom–I will. No problem, I know life gets in the way sometimes.
