Jason took the day off today. We are going to the Minnesota State Fair. I have not been for many years. I am looking forward to it. The Minnesota State Fair is one of the largest and one of the best in the country. There is so much to see, and not just the farm stuff either. There is a ton of food and exhibits and animals and performances and on and on and on. Sam and Emily are going with us, too. I think that the last time we went, Sam was in a stroller. He’s 12, almost 13(!) now!
Must haves at the fair are cotton candy, caramel apple, milk shake in the dairy building and corn-on-the-cob. Very yummy. Of course it is all calorie free because of all the walking that you do.
So I will be at the state fair, see you there? (I totally stole that line from our local news channel.)

So if you want to swing by my place before you go, I will go with ya!
YAY cotton candy!
Okay, so I’ve been gone for the last few days and am trying to catch up now on everyone’s blogs and emails (I promise to get you that interview back very soon) — but here is some random thoughts while reading through all your back entries that I missed.
1) THANK GOD that guy didn’t come to your clinic. How scary is that?? I laughed at the “buildings and some other shit” comment written in on the paper.
2) Migraines are the worst. I get them too, but the last doctor I seen actually diagnosed me with a history of them and gave me some medication. I swear it is sent straight from Heaven above… a little magic, blue, pill that dissolves on your tongue and travels up the nerves in your face to attack the Beast within 30 minutes. They are called Maxalt-MLT and I am recommending them to EVERYONE I know who deals with this crap. Please. Do yourself a favor and ask your doctor to let you try it. I have never had anything work as amazing as these do!
3) Even though I missed your posts, I was still vastly entertained by your brother’s posts. Especially once I figured out who he was (sorry, I’m still a little new). I was cracking up reading his stuff.
4) You have a seriously busy life!
I think that’s it… although I’m probably going to hit “submit comment” and remember a dozen other things I was going to say. Oh well, you’re probably better off! haha.
NO FAIR!:d I wanna go too!
I love fairs. our county fair is next weekend, and we’ll probably spend some time there. bring on the giant pumpkins!!
I used to LOVE going to the Virginia State fair every year. Here they suck so I am not missing anything.
Have fun!
I forgot how this is fair time up north. Down here they usually run from November to March.
… “cotton candy, caramel apple, milk shake in the dairy building and corn-on-the-cob”
Stop! Please! Now I have to visit the fridge!
Blue–I totally would have, if it didn’t take more than one tank of gas to get to your house. Gas is expensive right now.
Amber–1) What can I say, I was tired of naming stuff. lol
2) I have been on Maxalt MLT and it didn’t work for me.
3) He’s a hilarious one, isn’t he?
4) I do. Which is why I don’t get around to blogs much, either. (You do know I am a nurse, right? Good luck in your studies to be come one, too.)
Uisce–Me, too. It is fun to just people watch, even.
Mel–It must be that the Midwest and the East Coast have the best fairs. It seems like they are pretty similar. This fair, we had some fair organizers from California to see why our fair is so successful so that they could improve their own. They went to ours on Monday because they thought it would be less busy since they actually close theirs on Monday because no one ever goes. Ours was no less busy as any other day. They were shocked.
Fab–That makes sense that they would have them during those months down there. It would probably be too hot to have them at this time of the year.
Zed–Now I am, too, and I had it all yesterday. lol
