Thank you all for your kind sentiments and wishes yesterday. They always manage to cheer me.
I managed to get off work on time and got home with plenty of time to get ready to go where I needed to be at 8 o’clock last night. We were having a huge family portrait taken. By huge, I mean that it was Jason’s whole family. Twenty of us. It was a little stressful. Especially when the first group of photos weren’t exactly what everyone thought were good enough and so they had to take a second group and by then, the little ones (Isabelle, 3, and my niece, 4, and nephew, 1-1/2) were more than done with all that picture taking stuff. Oh and it was hot. As you might expect with 20 people huddled together for 15-30 minutes at a time.
We will get to look at the proofs more closely after tomorrow. I am not optimistic about them. I don’t like the way I look. I like it less with what they did with the second group of photos. I have a huge shadow over my face which seemed to be okay when it was on my face, but not when it was on my nieces face in the first group of photos. Which is why we had the second set taken in the first place. I will leave you to your own deductions on that whole thing.
Anyway, it’s done. It was a birthday/Father’s Day gift for my FIL.
Speaking of, happy Father’s Day to all of you dads out there. Happy Father’s Day to my Dad. I love you, I miss you and I can’t wait to see you again.

pfft
thats fair then isn’t it?
It;s always a family drama when more then ten adults get together, no matter who’s family it happens to be…
we did family pics.. sort of last night(tonight) (Friday night LOL) tool. kind of. I posted them on BPR.
Did you put two fingers up behind anyone’s head during the shot? That always make for a good photo!
Oh happy day. Portrait photos. Yawn.
Maybe you should have ducked every time they tried to snap the picture.
I hate group pictures. Especially drunken holiday ones. Every year my sister drinks and tries to organize group shots and cries when we ask her to stop. After at least 20 years, no one has ever seen these “masterpieces”. I doubt she has film in her camera! :-w
BTW–Aren’t there like, a billion pictures of you out there? I thought the paparazzi followed you everywhere? LOL:d
Group photos are great momentos. There aren’t that many of my family, regretfully!
I think everyone hates family portraits…….me included! lol
I’m not a big fan of the portrait.
Hugs. Hope today is even better.
I’ve noticed that whenever I’m in a group picture if you take me out of the picture everything still makes sense, while if you remove other people the picture seems incomplete. I thought that maybe it’s symbolic for the way I live and the way I am. Then I thought maybe I don’t really exist. Then I freaked out and thought about other stuff.
I’d rather have bamboo stuck under my fingernails than get my picture taken. That’s a nice gift though. You hang in there, day jobs suck, and should be escaped as soon as reasonably possible.
Well, a family portrait… with 20 people in it… sounds huge indeed but it’s still a great idea… I mean… will be a beautiful memory after some years.=:)
Hey… do not worry about the photos… i think you are great doing all that and having such dedicated patience… god bless youoo:-)o:-)o:-)
