Sounds of Silence

I cannot for the life of me think of anything to say. So I thought I would just come here and offer you several moments of silence. You probably wouldn’t take them yourself if you didn’t have someone to offer them to you because I know how you people are, work, work, work, blog, blog, blog. Here is your opportunity to just relish in the beauty of peace and quiet. Oh, and I will give you a couple pictures to look at, too. Ready? Start…

There, did you enjoy your silence? Now I will tell you about the photos…

Picture #1–Isabelle on Easter. Honestly? This is the best picture that we have of her that day. She didn’t stand still long enough.

Picture #2–The Easter dorks. Sam and Emily, my nieces and nephew. I wonder where they get their dorkiness from.

Picture #3–Our cat Libby. I wonder if that is the most comfortable place that she could find to sleep. Surely there must be a softer pillow somewhere that she could use in place of the threshold to the patio door.

We went to a Jamaica picture party last night. It was fun to get together with the people that we went to Jamaica with and also some that were unable to go. I thought by “Jamaica Picture Party” they meant that we would exchange pictures or something, so I made discs with all of our pictures on them for each of the couples that went. No one else brought any pictures or anything. The only thing that we looked at was a video that my sister-in-law brought. I was hoping for some pictures. :( Oh well, it was fun and we played bingo (this was a huge event that went on every evening in Jamaica and it was nothing like you would think bingo is like, it was fun and hilarious and the prizes for getting bingo was bottles of rum) and the hostess had funny prizes for everyone that won. They also had fabulous food and drink. I was the driver, so no drinks for me. Since I had consumed my share of margaritas the night before, it was okay.

It’s late. I’m tired. Hope you all are enjoying your weekend. Remember to tell people that my feed isn’t updating properly, so they should unsubscribe and resubscribe and that should fix the problem. ;)

I guess I did find something to say.

Remember to tell people? Like my neighbors and my church group?

  2. Doctor Mom says:

    Shelli-
    You are never without words!
Great Easter photos– even though it was cold, the sun was still shining and we made the best of it!

Beautiful cat! I miss having one… we now have two children allergic to them. No more kitties here :(

  3. Shelli says:

Fab–Yah, ‘cuz you’re on speaking terms with your neighbors and like you really have a church group. Actually, do you have any ideas how I can get the word out? Finn hasn’t been here since the beginning of last week. :(

  4. Shelli says:

Doctor MomSometimes people will look at her and when she moves to look at them or something, they will gasp and say something like, “Oh my God, I thought that was a statue!” It’s pretty comical.

  5. Finn says:

Hi Honey! Have I really been away that long? I resubscribed, so it should work now.

Love the new template. Did you pose for the picture? ;)

  6. I was worried that you were ill or something, but now I know that it’s just the feeds. Whew! I’ll re-sync.

I love the picts and it sound like it was a fun evening, even if it wasn’t a picture show of your holidays.

PS: I love the new template :)

    Happy Nurses Week!

  8. Shelli says:

FinnIt’s been almost a week. I know you have a lot going on so I didn’t know if that was it or the feed thing. Glad you are back. I’ve missed you.

  9. Shelli says:

Todd–To you, too! Nurses rock, don’t they?

  10. Wander says:

Great pictures! I love the cat sleeping like that. I used to have one that would sleep on top of the door when the door was open. Never did figure out how he kept his balance while sleeping.

  11. Peggy says:

Power to the dorks! That picture HAS to show up in a few years in a video montage of ‘growing up years’ to be shown at a wedding reception.
    You choose whose…

  12. MsDemmie says:

Isabelle is beautiful – and I am glad I am not the only one with a cat who sleeps in awkward places.

  13. Lynda says:

You could send out a blanket email, but I will try to remember to say something on tonight’s post. :)

I love the pictures. Cats are weird with their sleep habits, aren’t they?

  14. Lynda says:

Oh, and I would have thought picture party = pictures too!

  15. Charlotte says:

I love the pictures especially the one of Isabelle! :)

  16. Shelli says:

    Wander–Really? How the hell…?

  17. Shelli says:

Peggy–I think it will show up on all of theirs and also at their graduations, too.

  18. Shelli says:

Ms. Demmie–Thank you. I think she is beautiful, too. :)

  19. Shelli says:

Lynda–I might try that with the blanket email. I don’t work on Wednesday, so that might be the day to get some stuff like that done.

I know. Isn’t that weird? We didn’t even really look at pictures.

  20. Shelli says:

Charlotte–She is special, isn’t she? BTW, I love this plug in! Thanks for the introduction to it!
