First, before the regular post, I have to make amends to a friend who had a blogiversary yesterday, too. Craziequeen’s Palace was one year old yesterday. I am sorry that I missed it. Happy blogiversary a little late, CQ. I hope it was a good one.
I had already signed up and Fab beat me to the punch trying to get you to sign up under his name so that he would get the credit. However, if there are any of you left that haven’t signed up yet, please, please, please do it by clicking on the graphic above. Besides, I don’t really understand how I can be in Fab’s network if he and I didn’t sign up from each other and then how do we get the same people in our network. What is it? I am not sure, really, but Paul, a representative of BlogMad, dropped by Fab’s site the other day and left this explanation in comments. I like Paul. He’s cool.
ok just to put some light on the situation so to speak, I’ll say this much loud and clear.
If you wait, you WILL miss out.
The basis of the system, is that its almost a social networking mechanism based around who links to you, you create your own little networks, much like social networking, but lets call it social linking for now.
Why? well because search engines tend to raise vaule on the fact that if one website links to another similar website with similar content, it increases the “value” of the content of the linked to site. much like a person who does a thesis who referrenced another paper. The referenced thesis is often then seen as an authority paper.
Does any of this make sense? lol
well bottom line we going to base the idea of building networks in a fun way that helps people in many other ways
We’ll send out a newsletter closer to when we put up a beta site.
But for now the best thing you can do is to start getting your friends to sign up as they automaitically fall into your network
Maybe Paul will drop by here and explain the part about getting in each other’s networks to me. That would be cool.
I have a few rating things on my blog and I would be so appreciative if you would, from time to time, click on them and give me a reasonably good rating. Unless you don’t like my blog, in which case why are you still reading it? The one from Bloggrrr you just click on the rating scale right here on my blog and it doesn’t take you anywhere. If you want to see where my current rating is sitting, you can click on the header where it says Bloggrrr. That will open a new page. My current rank is 386. There is one from Varb which will open a new page and you vote for my wonderfullness on a scale of 1-10. And the last one is Blog Junkie. If you click on the purple button, it will open a new page where it will ask you if you want to rate me, that will take you to another page where you will find my blog banner and my rank. Over to the right, is a purple bar that says “view site details”. Once you click on that, it will take you to the rating page. I am not sure why it is so complicated. But I would like it if you would vote for me there. Right now I am at a 6 and Fab is at 7. I would like to keep my lead on him in this one area. He always wins at everything else. :P

Well for now the best thing to do would be to get as many referrals as possible, your referrals are going to form part of your immediate group. Then we are looking at linking groups to other groups based on common interests, such as what people are blogging about, etc, eventually we’d like to completely create a total community of interlinking goodness that people can track their friends, social circles, common interests, common tags and much more, with a control panel so that you can see who in your circles are focussing on who and what
