My brother (yes, Mr. Fabulous) made some demands on me yesterday and we had an argument, too. But, he had a gift for me, so I am going to appease him. First, let me show you what he gave me. Actually, he made it for me. He says that I have to post it here and that it is just the thing to spice up this place. Give me a new image. We’ll see…Tell me what you think.

Then he said that I have never shown any of you pictures of my backyard. He says that I probably don’t even have one. He is such a, such a, brother. He just likes to egg me on. Pick on me. I have shown pictures before. I showed them of my house after the tornado went through here. They are at my flickr page under storm damage. I thought I had another, more complete picture of the whole backyard, but I can’t find it. If you go look at them, keep in mind that the trampoline did not belong to us and that it came from 2 houses over. Scary.
Finally, we had an argument about the following question: Without looking, do you know what your state bird is? A simple yes or no will do. If you know and feel like saying what it is, that’s fine. If you don’t know, that’s fine, too. See, these are the types of things that siblings argue about. Or at least people who are siblings of Mr. Fab. I will not tell you which side of the argument either one of us is on. I promised I wouldn’t slant the vote. As did he.
(Still no smilies!
)

Yep, I know mine.
Fortunately I don’t have to worry about such things here in the UK. But I can tell you what all the home nation flowers are. Although admittedly, that is only three things to remember (the N. Irish don’t have a flower, they have other symbols!) LOL
LMAO! That is awesome. LOLOLOL. Is that your new button? LOL?
And yeah! I know my state bird but I’ve lived her almost all of my life, how could I not?
Oh and what’s up with no smiles?
I have no idea what the state bird is. And more importantly, I don’t care.
Love the button. Your brother is nuts.
Yes, Libragirl, Fab is nuts. But we’re stuck with him anyway.
My answer is yes.
And as much as I loved Fabs banner for me, now I’m jealous of yours. And I notice that Fab has three more posts than I do. So I’m going to slink off into the corner and pout about how nobody loves me. I’d insert a smilie here, but you don’t have them anymore…
Don’t know the bird, but can flip a mean one! Maybe hating where I live has something to do with it, but probably not.
DO love the gift though – he did do good with that…
I believe ours is the Goldfinch (New Jersey) and I didn’t even have to look it up. That’s a smexy banner that is. I’d click it
I’m think the state the birds here are is generally labelled as unstable.
Blogmad hit!
nope I dont know.
I like the tag he made you Shelli! Its cute and sexy!
I absolutely do know what my state bird is…it is the Bluebird…which is odd cause I really don’t see too many Bluebirds in my nexk of the woods…I see a lot of crows…and pigeons…
I also know the state birds to a few other states…namely, the states I have family in…don’t ask me why, but since childhoos I have really loved to use encyclopedias…
Alaska: Willow Grouse
California: California Valley Quail
Florida and Texas: Mockingbird
New Jersey: Eastern Goldfinch
New Mexico: Roadrunner
And that is all I know…
Our provincial bird is the loon … figures. Just another loonie Canadian here. LOL
Yes. SImple yes.
Love that pic. He should make everybody one.
No (on the state bird)… I don’t think we have one… It’s a US thing maybe…
And uhm… the pic… that is Fab’s way of getting back in anyone’s good books right… At least your is not a pic of you in the Red Light District…
lol…
Yes I know mine..
I hate the shoes in the pic…lol as I am sure that is what he was looking at??? LOL
Brothers are just mean!
Ha! That’s great! Oh, and I’m pretty sure our state bird is the bluebird.
We are out of state!
I am not sure England has one – if we do I would guess at the Robin.
As to your new art work – colour it PURPLE and it will get my vote !
I don’t know what you did to the comment I left early this morning and I don’t want to know.
Shenanigans! Shenanigans!
have NO idea what my state bird it.
OK, well I thought I did, but I looked it up just in case I was an idiot, and well. I am an idiot. Ours is the Hermit Thrush. Somehow, a “hermit” oddly suits vermont.
But I knew in other places I lived… Like IL was really easy.
I think I do.
The Brown Thrasher.
Sounds familiar any damn way.
And ooooo, Fab has great taste
Blog Mad Hit! Coo! Coo!
Hi Shelli–
First of all, I find it odd that a brother actually wants his sister to appear sexier… but then I realized who you were talking about and figured that as par for the course.
Secondly, no need to look sexier… just tell him “Bite Me” because that’s what my daughter says to her little brother… and it’s effective for approximately 10 seconds
Lastly, my state bird is a loon, and I didn’t have to think about it. So there, Fab!
BlogMad hit!
LoL :P That dude’s really funny..
I did not want to dishonor your 9/11 post so I am commenting here. Siblings can indeed be a drag. My sisters drive me nuts. The purpose of this comment , however, is to give you the bad news that you now have five usless JCPOINTs because you pu the words DR. John in our link for the day. Them’s the rules. Put the magic words get the silly points. Life is just a series of downs.
Indiana and many of the surrounding states have the cardinal as their state bird.
California is the California Quail.
