Whew! Libragirl forgave me for forgetting to post about her until later in the day yesterday. I did update my post, but the damage was already done. But, she is the best, so she said it was all cool. She is in the midst of a tragedy. Her iPod may be dead. Please go over and console her. It is very tragic.

Well, I finally got the call from the Pediatric Coordinator at the clinic. They made me a very substantial offer that I obviously wasn’t going to refuse. I am excited to get back to working with my friends. I start Monday. Like 5 days from now! In between now and then, I have to have a physical and sign some paperwork. I will be working full days on Monday and Tuesday and then Wednesday mornings. I have worked with this physician before and we get along very well. I have only worked for him on occasion, but I am confident that we will have a good working relationship as well. For obvious, confidentiality reasons, I won’t be talking about my job here, except in the most general of terms. Next week, I will be attending orientation classes all day, everyday except Friday, which I have off.

Thank you all for taking my poll about how I should respond to comments. I appreciate your input. It was 61.9% for responding in comments to 38.1% for responding in email. I think that Susan had a very valid point when she said, “I prefer to read comments from the blogger on the comment list. then they are all in order and can be a conversation and you don’t see answers to emails that you aren’t privy too etc etc.” And marie b. said, “If a comment is particularly personal and needs a personal reply, I’ll comment as usual but only to mention that I’m replying properly though email.” Which I also agree with. I think, then, this is the way I will do it. I will reply in comments and if necessary or when possible* by email. Again, thanks for your input.
*I say “when possible” because like I said above, I am starting a new job. I know that a lot of you bloggers have jobs and comment reply/email your readers, but until I adjust to not being able to blog whenever I want 24/7, I may be a little slack in getting to the comments by both email and replying on my site. I hope you understand.

My brother, Fab, was the winner of The Blog of the Day Awards yesterday. Isn’t that awesome. And he has a shiny, nice, new blog that he is showing off with a brand new URL, in case you didn’t know, http://pointless-drivel.com.

Update – I spoke w. my brother and it may not be dead. First he said it may be then he said it may be. Since my computer regconizes it it may be ok. Today is the test. I hope.
Good luck on the job. I am soooo jealous that you have fridays off. I miss my every other friday off soooooo much. I didn’t realize how much I looked forward to it.
Did Libragirl drop her ipod in the pool like I did? lol…I just let it dry out and its ok again.
Good luck Shelli on your job! I hope everything goes well for you!!!!! God bless!

And thanks for the plug
Dutchy Thank you so much!
Wystful 1 Thanks. I am excited about starting.
Fab Thanks. We are all productive members of society, we just have different areas in which we excel. Yours right now is to write and entertain the masses. Well, at least me. LOL
:!: I wasn’t invited to the awards ceremony! I wanted a chance to wear my little black dress!!
Congrats on the job, Shelli! You will be awesome! I bet you will love it. It goes with your caring & compassionate side.
So,
How come your brother did not nominate your blog for an award?
Inquiring minds want to know.
You might have to nominate yourself and the other judges get a say in it but it looks like a winner to me.
Lynda–There was not ceremony that I am aware of. Thanks for the congrats. I am excited about the job.
Blog of the Day Awards–Thanks! :embarrassed: I am not sure why I haven’t been nominated. I could be modest and say it is because I am not worthy, :worship: but you just said I was. Thank you. I appreciate the recognition.
Congrats on the job! And thanks for stopping by
Woohoo! Congrats on the job! Hope you enjoy it!
Oh the Don, I love the Godfather! Congrats on your new job! Does that mean we won’t hear from you as much anymore ?

Congrats on the job!
You’re very good with comments either way. I’ve always found it hard to keep up an exchange in the comments area, but a lot of people are quite good at it. A couple of the JournalSpace people really get into bantering with their readers.
