Four years ago today, our sweet kitty was born. We adopted her on the first anniversary of 9/11, so since she was born the day after Independance Day and we adopted her on Patriot Day, it only seemed fitting that she should have the name Liberty. We call her Libby for short and she is a real sweetheart who loves to snuggle and talks a lot. She fits in well in this household full of girls!
If it is true that cats have nine lives, then she has already used up some of hers. She used up one when she got stuck in the dishwasher and ended up breaking her leg trying to get out. She had to have surgery to repair that and it cost us a pretty little penny to fix her up. Then when she was spayed, she had complications from surgery and had to be rushed back to the vet where they watched her and treated her with antibiotics. She is very curious. Maybe we should have named her Pandora.

Little did we know that when we adopted Liberty, exactly one year later we would have another addition to our family and that she would have a name that would fit like a puzzle piece with Liberty’s. Three years ago today, my little angel, my sunshine, my granddaughter, Isabelle, aka Belle, was born. Isabelle was/is a true miracle. You can read her birth story here. Yes, she was born to my daughter when she was only 17, but my life has been so blessed to have her in it and I have to believe that there is something big in her future, or she will make a difference in some way because of the way that she came into this world.

Oh my God! Isn’t she beautiful? I know. I am gushing. I love her so much. This is one of my favorite photos of her. In fact it is my wallpaper on my laptop.
She truly turns the sun on every morning, even when the sky is gray. Happy birthday, Belley Bean.
